Hi i'm new in the forum, sorry but i can't speak french.
I'm near to mod a sharp pgm 10s (130w uhp) with a blv hit 150w dw 5200k.
Can sharp ballast run this lamp or it's better to put a 55w xenon?
Thank's for the answers!! :)

:hello: and welcome onboard !

Well, the main problem is the power needed by the BLV : the sharp's ballast risks
to fail and be destroyed.

My advice, check if this sharp projector has an economic mode (called "eco mode" I think).
If this is the case, there is a chance the BLV modding will work.

But, in my mind, with no guarantee.

Because you said the ballast can supply 130 W and the lamp requires 150 W.
This will cause overheating, and possibly a ballast failure.

Be advised I'm not professional, this means maybe you'll be lucky, and all will
work like a charm....but I'm in doubt. :)

I've changed idea and i've modded the projector with a xenon 55w h3 6000k. These are the results (the images were projected in a white wall and have a size of about 180x140 cm)

Hey, nice one, congratulations !

The result is very good in my point of view, and I noticed you used it with a little daylight.
No doubt the screen will be more brighter when in "full darkness". :)

Good job, but the power supply is bigger than the projector, no easy handling.
Anyway, if you're happy, it's the most important thing :jap:
